Hello All,
Thank you for visiting my blog. This is my first ever blog attempt so I hope that you will keep stopping by and giving me feedback to improve my blog. This blog was created to help me let a little steam off. I don't plan on censoring my language, feelings, emotions, or apologize for hurting someones feelings, this is real EMS not the sugar coated version you get in class. However if I am wrong about something feel free to let me know, I don't know everything and won't pretend to. I started in the Emergency Medical Field in 2007, which also happens to be when I started as a Volunteer Firefighter. I was like a lot of new, fresh, green Firefighter/EMT's. I started off on a department that covered a small area south of a city in Illinois. I moved on to work full-time as a EMT on a rural Fire Department. Just to let you know I won't tell you where I work or what my real name is. That would defeat the purpose of this blog. I currently work on a pretty prominent ambulance in a metropolitan area. I currently am a EMT-Basic with the plans on getting my Paramedic, I'll keep you up to date on that venture.
My plans for the blog is to let off some steam and provide a outlet for people to see what it is like out on the streets. I also want to use the blog as a networking tool to connect with all you other awesome Fire and EMS professionals out there.
I hope to see you guys on my blog and looking forward to share my world of EMS with all of you.
The Stretcher Fetcher
